Why Reset?

More people than ever before are being signed off with stress, getting burnt out or living with anxiety.  Recent research shows that in education alone, 26% of staff are signed off with stress at any one time so it’s never been more vital to provide support at a time and place where it's most need it – the workplace.

As your thoughts influence your emotions and your emotions influence your thoughts, it’s important to help people break this perpetual cycle so it does not keep escalating and lead to feeling overwhelmed.

You can however reset yourself at any time.

"The key to being more peaceful is cultivating awareness of your thinking and this all begins with being conscious of your breath.

When you become aware of your breathing, it takes attention away from your thinking and creates space, allowing you to reset your thoughts."

Eckhart Tolle

Steps to Reset

Step 1

Become the witnesser

Becoming aware of your thoughts, so you witness them rather than being caught up them, is the first stage of meditation.

Step 2

Breathwork & Mantras

You can then use different techniques that help you focus the mind.  Like focusing on your breath, a voice or repeating mantras like “Let Go” or “I’m Ok”

Step 3

Reset, Restart & Refocus

When you notice that your thoughts have distracted you, which they always do, just Reset, Restart and Refocus.

Removing Distractions

Modern technology is amazing and it can provide many helpful options, so some people may have apps or audio on their phone already that could help with this.  However, it’s still unlikely that in the heat of the moment, they have the awareness to use these, that’s assuming they have access to their phone at work.

Then when they open their phone, there’s many things to distract them from doing what you need to – some of them may even escalate the situation, like a reply from the message that made them anxious in the first place…

Getting help to reset your thoughts, when you need it the most isn’t as easy as it seems, until now.
